    Window installation and EC

    Does the cost of installing a window in a principal residence qualify for the credit or just the cost of the window?
    I assume the answer to this question is also true for installations of insulation and doors.
    What about central air conditioners?

      Installation costs cannot be included for building envelope components, but are included for other improvements.
