    get your boss arrested

It's not fair if your boss stole all the money and you lost your 401(k). Starting this week you can put an extra 3K into an IRA instead, if your company goes bankrupt AND you can manage to actually get your boss arrested.

      make this stuff up

      >>please elaborate<<

Well, that's a new law! Part of the Pension Protection Act--check it out on The Tax Book Update page. I'd like to hear your opinion of this new way to use the tax system for social engineering.

The really cool thing is you can even steal the company blind yourself, and just frame your boss! Not that funding an IRA would be your top priority in that case, but still....

Some of you probably figure this is just more of my bogus information, but honestly, I gave all that up. The truth is crazy enough. I mean, what kind of fascist regime rewards you with a pension for snitching on your co-workers? I can't make this stuff up.

        All of your posts

seemed eerily real. I liked the one about the Sch D and tracking insider trading. I almost voted for it.

Thanks jainen I read that and it does seem interesting. unfortunately I don't think it will apply to to many of my clients . But hey I might be able to convince some of my 401k plan employers to start cheating and force bk then I can make some more money with the clients who put an extra 3k into there ira that I manage. Splendid.

Thanks, Veritas. I put that one in the "grassy knoll" category -- probably true. At least, something's going on, and gov'm'nt snooping is undoubtedly in there someplace. That's the theme of this new crazy story, only this one is real. What do you think about it?

If you aren't quite ready to move on, I posted all that bogus information at http://www.geocities.com/jainen@pacb...nformation.htm.

              I can also accept

the fast food thing. A good example of it already happening is our power company selling green power at a premium rate. Rate payers are actually signing up for it.

I wonder how they send green power to those who pay for it?

Standard romex cable. Take the cover off any wall socket. You'll see three wires--black, white, and green.

                    I just had another

                    thought.

Why doesn't the government have another tax return called a 1040PC. Only socially resposible items may be used and a slightly higher marginal rate will apply. For instance a married couple (however you define it) may only claim 1.4 dependents.

A surtax should be added if the family has more than one vehicle and their commute is more than 3 miles.

oops gotta go help the wife.

                      Great idea

                      >>1040PC<<

Great idea. veritas! I think you should start a whole new thread just for Form 1040PC.

I'm not sure if the tax would be higher, though. Sure, capital gains would always be at the maximum rate, but there would be a much higher dependent care credit for sticking the kid in preschool while the parents work. And of course you wouldn't have to pay the 40% of the tax that supports the military!

Do I have your permission to use "1040PC" as a subject for my blog?

                          Please do.

There actually was a form 1040PC. It was dropped when efiling became more popular.
