    No Signature

A client has advised me that his wife will be gone to the Far East from
January 4th to April 22nd. As with most couples, It is to their advantage to file joint.
She won't be able to physically sign the return.

    1. Any suggestions out there to legitimately file a timely return?

    2. If they wish electronic filing, are the above solutions acceptable?

    Thanks, Snag

Snagg tell them to go to H&R or JH aparently they can do returns now without w-2's or 1099's or 1098's. Sorry could not resist.

Seriously , would not a POA from Attorney work.

Or how about once you are done with return you email 8879 to wife and she emails scanned copy back so husband can sign and then efile.

      I have

a client located at the Souh Pole. Mails me all her documents. I prepare the return and email the return & 8879 to client. She signs and faxes back to me. Then I efile her return. Check for the return comes in about a month. Have not had any problems
