    "Qualified Appraiser"

    Silly question...perhaps. However since there will be a greater interest in how non-cash (single item >$500.00) charitable contributions are evaluated for deductions on Schedule A, Form 1040 can someone please describe what is a "qualified appraiser" and what credentials they must possess?

    This is bound to be a topic that will surface this upcoming tax season.

    You might look in your telephone book for "appraisers" and give one a call. Also, try a google search.
