    New Year is a'comin

    Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky,
    The flying clouds, the frosty light;
    The year is dying in the night;
    Ring out, wild bells, and let him die.

    Ring out the old, ring in the new,
    Ring happy bells, across the snow
    The year is going, let him go;
    Ring out the false, ring in the true.
    Alfred Tennyson, 1809-1892

      sea-tax

      you are correct. Just left out part of name, too tired to do much today.
      He also wrote one of my all time favorites: CROSSING THE BAR
      Sunset and evening star,
      and one clear call for me!
      And may there be no moaning of the bar,
      When I put out to sea,

      ---------------

      --------------
      For though from out our bourne of Time
      and Place
      The flood may bear me far,
      I hope to see my Pilot face to face
      When I have crossed the bar.

          Another great one

          The Sayings of Poor Richard
          "Early to bed and early to rise,
          Makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise."
          "Eat to live, and not live to eat."
          "He that spills the Rum loses that only:
          He that drinks it, often loses both that
          and himself"

          Or how about this one by Ella Wheeler Wilcox, 1855-1919
          The wise men ask, "What language did Christ speak?"
          They cavil, argue, search, and little prove,
          O Sages, leave your Syriac and your Greek!
          Christ spoke the universal language-love.
