A snowy, wintry Christmas Eve night

Whose woods these are I think I know
    His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

    I can dream, can't I?

Actually it's 50 degrees and it rained hard all night. I haven't seen snow since last year.

But, it used to be cold and snowy in the wintertime. When I was a kid, it started snowing in late October and didn't completely melt off 'til February something. Lots of snowballs flying around and snowmen (ahem...I mean snowpersons) didn't melt for weeks.

Maybe Al's right about that global warming...

Actually it is 75 degrees here, 60 miles an hr wind, very dark at 10 AM, and raining so hard that the revenuers are coming down from the sky. I am so glad the rain is not snow. Merry Christm as even tho it is wet, soggy one.

For our friend who is concerned about this Board becoming idle chat It is a good day for reading, research, and getting our computers ready for a busy tax season. I am thankful I have some down time to get ready for the new tax season.
