Can anyone give me a good source for getting information on the solo (or mini) 401k. I have not been able to find anything substantive. Must one be incorporated to have this 401k, or can it be used with any form of business?

IRS Pub 4222 has information on 401(k) plans for Small Business, including self-employed individuals. You would want to read about the safe harbor 401(k) plan on page two which does not have the complex tax rules associated with traditional 401(k) plans.
