Am I the only one or has anyone else experienced Verizon blocking important Emails as spam. Some critical Emails I get from Lacerte are blocked from Verizon and I had to get a separate ISP EMail just for Lacerte purposes. Lacerte said they have been trying for 2 years to get Verizon to cooperate and are making no progress.

Switching
One of the big problems in switching is notifying everyone of your new email address if you use Outlook Express.
I use SBC global and the only problem I ever had was with the modem. SBCglobal gratefully accepts any and all spam.
I get about 50 offers daily for Viagra, physical enhancement problems, pornography, college degrees with no study , low mortgage rates, and thousands of ways I can get rich working at home or how I can make a killing in the stock market.
I replaced my original modem with one SBC sold. Yesterday it went out and A T & T sent someone out and they gave me a new, imporoved modem, did something to my telephone wiring to improve things and set up something that allows it to transmit wirelessly to our laptop computer. All of this was at no charge.
It sure beats talking to their technical support in India which I have never found to be able to solve the problems.

Switching
Actually, I would only be using the new Email Address for Lacerte purposes only. Otherwise, my verizon Email is OK for everything else, no need to notify people. Thanks for the interesting expericne. Isn't it a draw on your efficiency deleting all those junk Emails? Also, didn't SBC buy what was left of ATT and SBC now calls themself ATT, or do they still trade as SBC.

Blocked Email
I've used AOL and Optimum and my domain webmail via Network Solutions. All provide a means to identify email addresses from which I DO want to receive mail, so when they block based on bulk mailings I still get those senders I chose. Some have a separate Spam folder which you can check periodically to retrieve mail that's not Spam; in fact, when you mark it as Not Spam to put back into your new mail folder, it probably notes that email address for future reference. Call your tech support or poke around Help or Preferences. Let us know what you discover, so we can all learn.

I have a choice of receiving my email thru either ATT Yahoo or Outlook Express. I think from now on I will open the ATT mail first in the morning when most of the spam comes in.
If you want one email for exclusive use for Lacerte purposes, try hotmail, yahoo mail, lycos mail. Test each to see which you like best. They are all free. Then get Lacerte to send their mail there.

Sounds like a plan
Sounds like a plan. I have already notified Lacete of my Email change. By the way, I don't mind paying for a local ISP (BEE.net) for the new Email address. They are terrific on tech support. no holding or waiting., and they engaged my new Email while I was on the phone, so I did not have to wait a half hour or so. To me that worth what I am paying them (250 per year). Thanks for all the input.

Spammed

What is this Postini you're talking about? Is it some kind of spam-remover program that you can buy and download? If yes, what's the cost? Thanks.
