    Form 13285-A, Reducing Tax Burden on America's Taxpayers




    The IRS Office of Taxpayer Burden Reduction (TBR) needs the taxpaying public's help in identifying meaningful taxpayer burden reduction opportunities that impact a large number of taxpayers. Use this form to refer ideas for reducing taxpayer burden to TBR for consideration and possible implementation. Please answer the following questions to the best of your knowledge. Attach additional sheets if needed.

    Question 1: Who are you?

    Question 2: What is the problem/issue causing taxpayer burden? (Be as specific as possible)

    Question 3: What kind of taxpayers or businesses does it affect?

    Question 4: What is your proposed solution or remedy?

    Answer to question 2: There are too many tax forms.

    Answer to question 4: Three and four digit form numbers are bad enough. If you needed to go to a five digit form, you exceeded your limit. Repeal all forms beyond 9999.

      Answer to Question # 2: Congress is in session too long! They should be limited to about one month out of every 12 months. And be paid accordingly!

        Answer to Question 4: Anyone in Congress who votes yes to any new tax law should be required to fill out his or her own tax return.
