Welcome. It's nice having all the ATXers come on over.

          ATXers

A lot of people have complained about the recent 'upgrade' to the ATX message board. It used to be easy to use, but the 'improvements' have sacrificed nagavability for a few frills such as being able to place an icon (smiley face, etc.) in messages.

I think the ATX board will survive, however, since people using their software have a lot of questions in tax season like "Where's my ACK?", "Where is William?"

And who could ever forget Betty Sue and Jerome.?

Even Elrod and Janitor Bob have been absent from the new board.

I wonder if it is the same computer programmers that got a hold of Kleinrock’s Federal Tax Expert CD. I have been a user of Kleinrock’s CD long before ATX and Kleinrock’s got together. It was easy to use, quick, not too expensive, and did the job.

Then last year some computer programmers got a hold of it and messed it up. There are all kinds of “upgrades and improvements” that made the program look good, but function poorly. I am still using the last CD before this “upgrade” since whenever I try to load their latest update, in messes up my computer.

I am thinking of checking out something else this year. I refuse to purchase anything from Thomson. I might check out CCH or BNA, although their CDs are more expensive. I really don’t know who to turn to at this point.
