    NOL Statement

Seems like I remember reading we have to attach the NOL Carryback Statement relinquishing the carryback to the 8453. Is this correct or do we keep in our files?

    Thanks,
    Dennis

      Nol

      Thanks, Jesse.

I did e-file this return, but got to thinking about this because the statement requires the signatures.

        Singature not required

I have never used a NOL relinquish the carryback statement that required a signature.

          Signature

          Kram,

Trust me, signature lines along with dates are there! First time I've seen them also. Possibly, for paper files?

Dennis, it probably depends on your software program. With mine, I have several instances where I believe this is required by the government, when it is not.

I sure believe though, that the big software companies help the government to have more control than is required by law. This is why Bees needs to come up with an independent software program.
