I would recomend watching credit cards, bank accounts and credit lines every week at least. It's not hard to do and if you use one bank everything shows up on one website. Last year I caught several thousand charged to my credit card and was able to stop it before it really got out of hand. If I had waited till the end of the month for the statement who knows what they would have got.
