E-filing a prior year return

    E-filing a prior year return

    Customer's young adult son called & said he had not filed 2023 & 2024 tax returns.
    Can these years both be e-filed ?

      Yes, current year and 2 prior years, 2022, 2023, and 2024, until the IRS shuts down individual returns to set-up 2025. (Haven't seen that date yet, maybe mid-November-ish to around Thanksgiving.) Check with your state(s) and with your software for more info.
