Tax Reporting for a Sole Proprietor with a Solo 401(k)

Where are one-person solo 401(k) plan employee and employer contributions reported on the tax return of a sole proprietor?

    #2
Form 1040 Schedule 1 Part II Line 16.

Don't forget to use the special calculation for self-employed that limits the max contribution based on net profit. Also, if there is enough profit, the employee contribution can be used to increase the percent of allowed contribution. Your software should have a worksheet for this, or else consult TheTaxBook.
