    Energy Credits

    Customer bought new energy efficient kitchen appliances and asks if any credit is available on her 2024 tax return.
    I couldn't seem to find anything in TTB on this and presume the answer to be no.

    I don't remember any time when kitchen appliances qualified.

    energystar.gov is the best source of qualifying purchases

      Agree, but I vaguely remember that some years ago certain STATES had tax credits for certain energy-saving appliances. I don't recall any details, as my home state never had such.

        I could be mistaken, but I've never known of 5695 tax credits for appliances from the IRS.
