My clients father passed away in 2023. His estate was not very much so I filed his tax his tax last tax return. The return was filed late in the tax year. His daughter had liquidated all assets and put the money in an account until his taxes were filed. She has now received an interest statement of $4000 for his estate. I can't file another individual return since he died in 2023 and his ss number will be flagged. How should this be reported? The interest is the only thing left from the estate everything else was distributed last year
