Minnesota business tax ID

I have a KPI from a partnership with composite tax paid. Filing as actual return rather than accepting the composite results in a refund of a few hundred dollars. MN tax id is not on form and firm preparing 1065 says they don't need one. Is this correct??? To efile I need to enter id on M1W2.

If the partnership makes deposits to MN I would think they have to have an account, and ID number. The M1W ask for it (even says to contact Payer). I would try asking them again stating you don't want to put refused on form.
