Has anyone used the simplified method lately and filed a short year tax return? It seems there were conflicting instructions about filing electronically vs. filing on paper. Other than method of transmission, I have a question about what year document to use. I have a calendar year NFP wanting to go to a June 30 year end (in this case 2024 is the year). Would I be ok using the 2023 forms and change the dates to 1/1/24 to 6/30/24? Seems like that's the only option unless I wanted to wait until the new forms came out.
