Hurricane Ian hit Florida in 2022. Taxpayer's condo was affected by the hurricane. The owners were charged a Special Assessment of $23000 in February 2023 to make repairs to the seawall; the condo is located close to the beach.
I did research but could not come up with any tangible result.
Would that assessment be considered a part of the condo, and can it be reported on the 4684 Casualty and Loss form?
There was no Insurance reimbursement.
Thanks
Brian
