    Pso deduction

    TP retired from PD drawing pension. Wife retired from state (non pd) drawing pension. (DIRECT DEPOSIT TO JOINT ACCOUNT) She then pays to state, health insurance to cover her and husband. Even tho it is not coming directly from pension either his or her's can I use the pso for 3k? I did notice on state pay stub it shows them giving her a little health credit.

    in other words pensions go into one account. they wd funds to pay health ins. TP is fully police department retired. Can they make use of the pso?

    SECURE 2.0 amended IRC 402(l)(5) to allow direct payment by the PSO to cover premiums. Check it to see if it aligns with your fact pattern.

      Since it can be paid directly, does this now apply to any insurance, including Medicare?
