Use both spouse's 2022 med ins premiums paid as SE med or not ?

    As a follow-up to my original post :
    Called my new customer's (former) CPA to see if he wanted to amend the '22 to reflect the SE medical insurance deduction that was not shown on the original return.
    I figured if he did the amendment, he'd do it for free. I would be charging the customer to amend.
    He is older and suffering certain health issues and is in the process of closing his practice and did not seem to be excited about preparing the amended 1040-X. He told me
    that he had simply missed the SE deduction on the return but had a different view than mine on what qualifies as SE health insurance. He said that long term care premiums
    were only deductible on schedule "A" and could not be used as part of the SE medical deduction. I didn't ask him about any of the prior returns.
