tax payer has cancer has a cancer policy paid for pre tax dollars in amount 15,000 reported in 1099 mis other income 5,000 of this was reimbursements for out of pocket expenses should i report the 15,000 and deduct the 5,000 and report only 10,000 as other income

I think you need to report $15,000 of income, and you have $5000 of medical expenses.
