Did the $2,000 limit get removed when the credit went to 30%? Which of the many tax laws did that?

Thank you. I wouldn't have gone to the Hearth, Patio & Barbeque Association for tax advice, but they were clearer than the IRS IR and FAQs and even linked to the IRS. More than one IRS article dated December 2022 didn't state whether it was covering the 2022 tax year or in advance for 2023. In contrast, all the IRS articles stated the $2,000 limit. But I had one client and one preparer tell me the full 30% credit without limit could be taken on the 2022 return, so I was doubting my ability to interpret what I was reading. The HPBA was surprisingly helpful.
