    Do we still have to elect OUT of bonus depreciation?

    This was ridiculous to begin with. If you call a ball blue, you shouldn't have to tell someone that it's not red.

      I use Drake, and I believe the default is to claim as much bonus as possible so I have to opt out by putting how much I want to take (or a zero in the field for no bonus.) It's been that way for at least a couple years, or that's how I remember it.

        You do have to elect out,and you can do it by category of assets or all. Ultra makes it easy to do. All are originally calculated with bonus, under elections you can change that.
