    NAIC Code list

Can anyone supply me with a complete NAICS code list that I can print out?

Not a search engine, or someone's description of what the NAICs codes are supposed to be. Not a condensed two-digit list.

Just a complete list of six digits codes. Should be easy to get but it's not.

    Thanks in advance -

Apparently you can buy what you are asking for here:

Not sure what the basis of your "should" assertion is. Why should it be easy (or free, for that matter)? What people actually need (the ability to look up a code) does appear to be both easy and free (with internet access), but you want something else.

RR, I don't want anything else. If the govt requires it and produces it, it should be as free as a 1040. Drake has a drop-down box of course.

Took less than a minute with a Google search. Starts on page 25. https://www.census.gov/naics/referen...ICS_Manual.pdf

I can print the list from within my tax prep software, not that I've ever needed to.

I suspect not. I suspect that Drake has the list of "Principal Business Codes" (which are based on NAICS, but often more broad).

Which are you looking for? NAICS for things other than preparing tax returns? Or that Principal Business Codes that go on the tax returns?

If you are just looking for the Principal Business Codes, those are in the Instructions for Schedule C and 1120, etc., where you could print them off.

That's a good-looking link, thank you kathyc2. Seems to be the full table of 6-digit codes, in a PDF file. Although if I needed this data, I'd pay the $50 for the Excel file. :-)

Thanks to all who responded. Kathy's link drills down to exactly what was needed.

There is a messy background as to why I needed this but it's a long story.
