I mean, it is technically correct, in the same way that saying "workers who earn more than $400,000 in net SE income must report that money to the IRS", but the clear implication that there is a floor below which reporting is not required is wrong. Even people who have negative net self employment income must report it to the IRS, if required to file a return.
Ironically, at the top of the article it gives not only the author's name but the name of someone else who allegedly "fact checked" it. (Maybe I'll try to send them a note, or you could too). And the beat goes on...
