    Claiming daughter

    clients daughter earned $ 3,145 in 2021 was not a full time student and turned 18 in march of 2021 can they claim her as a qualifing relative and if so where do
    i show her as a qualifing relative

    Yes, and under Dependents per your software's instructions for entering dependents.

        Lion is correct. This year I have seen a few dependents around that age getting close to 24,000 in unemployment benefits. I had one situation where the son made more than his mother with UI and if you run the support test he paid more than half. Had to give the bad new. Fortunately his sister is only 14 so she still got HOH!

          TGB looks spot on. IRC 152(c)(3)(A)(i) says has not attained age 19.

          Maybe SHU hasn’t given all the facts.
