    1099nr

I have a couple who are from Canada. They have a vacation home in the USA which they rent out a couple of months a year. They both have ITIN's. When I use my software for the 1040NR there is not an option for MFJ. Do I have to file a 1040NR for each person or only a 1040NR for one?

    Thanks in advance

Did they both have US-sourced income? Both own the vacation home they rent our?

They both own the vacation home. That is their only US income.

See if any of the two references below apply to your scenario

So I file married filing separate on 2 returns and split the rental expense?
