    Question on Estate 1041 Tax Return Funeral Expenses and Credit Card Debt

    If the estate paid for funeral expenses and credit card debt for a decedent, can either of those be deducted on fForm 1041?

      NO.
      Funeral expenses as well as debts accrued prior to death are only deducted on an Estate Tax Return - Form 706. Not on Form 1041
