    Old year tax returns refunds

    does anyone know how to get back refunds from back years older than three years?

    Have the years mentioned been filed and is the problem at the IRS? If not, I don't recall any circumstances that will allow refunds on late filed returns.

      Review IRC 6511(h) and see if it applies. Otherwise, you're almost certainly out of luck.

          Isn't there a provision that in certain specific circumstances like a Ponzi scheme victim, or a Presidentially Declared Disaster casualty or something in that type of category, where you can go back up to 7 years to claim a loss for the year of occurance?
