I am looking at my second tax return showing as mandatory form 8812 and demands entries that no advanced payment was received. These are taxpayer that never claimed dependents and I am scratching my head...until I realized that there will be taxpayers out there that received the payments but do claim any dependents for 2021. Hence, every taxpayer has to answer these questions. What a mess!
