Credit for Water Treatment

Form 5695 is still around....requires cumulative knowledge since 2007. I wonder how many of my clientele were even using me back in 2007.

But I had an interesting question the other day from one of my more knowledgeable clients. Is there are known credit or tax advantage for a waste water recycling installation? Forget the 5695 - it won't be on there. But I thought I would ask if there is a General Business Credit or some such that allows for water???

I don't prepare many biz returns (except for Schedule C with OIH) so haven't had to research that, but I would look to state/local credits where there might be incentives to protect the ground water or whatever.

I am not aware of any Federal tax credit for residential taxpayers BUT here in MA we have a Septic credit on the state tax return for certain upgrades to the septic system.
