While it appears NJ does NOT allow for the 3-year treatment of Covid-19 distributions I don't want to say for sure until I see something official in writing. I saw a 3rd party post on it (not here) and now I can't find that. My tax software IS treating it as a 3-year distribution which I do not believe is correct. I can't assume they are getting it right. I can't talk to them today (argh!).
So, a $45k distribution is $15k taxable for each year at the Fed level - Can anyone confirm NJ's stance? - PLEASE -
