I can't understand why on parents return 19 year old college age dependent is getting CTC of $500? Ultra tax software.

Those 17 and older who are still dependents (such as full-time college students who don't provide >50% support) are Other Dependents and gain their parents $500 as opposed to dependents under 17 who gain their parents $2,000, an amount that looks like it will increase dramatically and add one more age range to the mix. -
