    Solar credit on rental property? or just depreciation?

    Client put $21,000 solar panels on her rental property. Can she take the federal tax credit? Or depreciate and if so, how many years?

      Check out IRC §48 - see if you qualify. You cannot use the solar credit in §25D but you need to look at §48
