When the first EIP came out the 17 year old disabled daughter of client received no payment. She is on SSI. When the second EIP came out she had turned 18, still on SSI and received no payment. The court has granted parents full guardianship on her 18th birthday. She will be claimed as "other dependent" on parents return. I am unable to determine if she was/is eligible for any stimulus payment at all due to her unusual circumstance. Any suggestions, and thanks in advance!

It follows the Child Tax Credit rules, so if the parents are not eligible for the CTC for daughter, then no RRC either. Unless there's a exception for a disabled child... Or, unless the parents don't pay over 50% of daughter's support/daughter doesn't qualify as an other dependent and claims herself.

And no, there is no disabled child exception for the age test for CTC or RRC.
