I would like to have a good worksheet for how to handle death and the 2 stimulus payments. Like died b4 certain date keep died after date give back and how to handle. Anyone seen a good explanation of what to do?

For both EIPs (what is a "stimulas" anyway, that term even spelled correctly is never used by IRS or in the legislation), the law says that amounts received in excess of the allowed TY2020 RRC do not need to be repaid. The IRS wanted the money back if any individual died (even in 2020) prior to receiving the payment even though anyone alive at any time during 2020 is eligible for the credit. I agree with Rapid Robert.
I have no idea what date would have been reasonable to use to enforce an unwritten law.Doug
