    Kiddie Tax

    Will dependents who were unable to work last year due to the Pandemic but were eligible to collect unemployment (unearned income) be subject to the Kiddie Tax?

    If you are asking whether UI is considered unearned income for purposes of Form 8615, the answer is yes.
