A customer that held her assets in a revocable trust has died. She had been using her social security # for trust tax reporting.
Now that the grantor has died, the trust becomes irrevocable & (I assume) will need its own tax I.D. #
In view of the IRS shutdown, what would be the best way to get this new tax I.D. number ?
