Has tax owed on a return also been deferred to 7-15-20 ?

This has probably been already been addressed somewhere on this board, but if a taxpayer files a 1040 and owes tax that would normally be due by 4-15-20.
Is the tax payment due at the normal date or has the payment due date also been extended to 7-15-20 ?

Federally, yes. Check your state or the AICPA document for state information. Do a search on AICPA for a link.

Topic has been discussed here at length.
Simplest answer: Any FEDERAL payments that otherwise would be due on April 15, 2020 (balance due for 2019, #1 estimate for 2020, or 2019 extension filing payment) can now be delayed up to July 15, 2020 without any penalty or interest added.
