As of what date was thetaxbook current? Does it contain the Secure Act? You know, all of the things that are now retroactive from 2018 through 2020 like the $4k tuition deduction, residential energy credit (limited to the lifetime limit of $500), etc. that became law Dec 20, 2019?

TheTaxBook is the #1 fast-answer tax publication in America. Our publications provide fast answers to tax questions for tax practitioners!
The Web Library also says (under free services) that it will be updated for the latest tax law changes. So one advantage of using the electronic version instead of the print version is it is updated for new law.

Hello Everyone, I wanted to post an update on this subject for you.
Any provisions of the SECURE Act that affect 2019 will be posted in the Update Service (https://www.thetaxbook.com/ttb_service_updates.asp) in the very near future. Please note we will send an email update to all customers once these updates are posted as well. Also please note that these will be automatically deployed to the WebLibary once available, so users of that service do not need to do anything to get these changes.
I would also like to note that further coverage of the Secure Act is available in our What's New Tax Season Edition that is scheduled to ship the first week in February and is also available with the WebLibary Plus service.
All Client Handouts for 2019 and 2020 are updated for the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act changes.
Lastly, tab 33 in the Small Business Edition contains a chart on the current status (as of our print date) for the Economic Nexus questions, since this is a business related subject matter by State that is where it was placed into our publication.
I hope this information is helpful, thanks to all of you for using our products and our message board!
Best regards,
Sam Meyer - VP of OperationsLast edited by admin; 01-13-2020, 01:45 PM.
