    Inherited Roth IRA

If you inherited a Roth IRA years ago. Now you turned 70, do you have to take RMD, just like traditional IRA. Except non taxable.

Depends who it was inherited from. If from spouse, do not have to take RMD. If from other than spouse, distributions should have been taken all along.

As Kathyc2 said, it depends on who the beneficiary is. If it's the spouse, they can treat the Roth IRA as their own and no RMD is required. If your client was not the spouse, then they should have started RMDs when they inherited the Roth; they can also take a full distribution within 5 years.
