    Poa form 2848

I've only used this form once - many years ago - & am not familiar with it.
Have a customer that recently moved into an assisted living facility.
His spouse is incompetent & in a nursing home - he has her legal guardianship.
Daughter has his personal P/O/A & has been involved in their financial matters & wants to have all tax correspondence sent to her.
Customer thinks this is a good idea.
Hope this doesn't sound dumb, but to enable this with IRS, would this document be appropriate to use - for this situation ?

If your client is competent to sign the POA. Otherwise, refer any relatives of your client to a lawyer familiar with the state law of your client. Make sure any POA/guardianship/conservatorship/etc. specifically states that the person can sign tax returns and address tax matters for your client.
