Have a customer that was holding Time-Warner shares at the time of the 2018 AT&T merger.
He had originally bought AOL shares at the height of the dot.com boom in 2000 and paid a huge price for his shares.
Its my understanding that his AOL basis continued with the merger into Time-warner.
Because of the various acquisitions and spin offs of time-warner over the years, it's hard to follow his original basis.
ATT&T has a good worksheet on the AT&T Time-Warner merger IF you have a handle on basis prior to it.
Anyone know of an online basis tracking website that could provide help on this ?
