8949 - List each individual transaction?

    I enter totals only if basis is reported to IRS. Like others, if basis is not reported or if there are wash sale adjustments, I still enter the totals but attach a PDF of the broker statements.

        If you are consolidating short term and long term transactions, what do you enter as sales date and purchase date ( I know this can be various)? Do you just list it as sale of stock?

            Dates aren't entered. Code M is entered in column F.
