    A big thank you!

I believe this is a super message board. With this new policy in place, it will become so much more enjoyable.

    Thank you,
    Dennis

      Another Thank You

DTS (Dennis) and myself had recently discussed the ongoing debate on a particular thread which now seems to be deleted. And our question was whether we should post about how disturbing it had become.

Thank you for this post and we hope that all posters will recognize to have some respect for other posters and their questions, and viewpoints, without name calling and disparaging remarks directed at a poster.

This board is a great source for knowledge, learning and problem solving, we have found new friendships and colleagues to contact , share ideas and experiences and have some fun conversations.

        Good Nature

I hope this does not apply to good natured fun. I suppose when you monitor the board it's sometimes hard to tell the difference. I can truthfully say I've never intentionally hurled "real" insults at other people posting, but perhaps if you read some of my verbage it might seem that way.

I gather there must have been an offensive or insulting post that provoked Brad's message. I must have missed it.

I for one am glad that this board has not degenerated into what ATXers became. Someone recently said that has been cleaned up. My e-mail is available under my board name. If anyone thinks I've said anything out of the way, please let me hear from you via e-mail.

Even Black Bart thought I was coming at him, once upon a time...

        Regards, Ron J.

          No insulting posts!

          Ron,

I don't ever remember you posting a message attacking anyone at all or using questionable language. A few times you have kidded with people, but I think everyone knows you are just poking fun at someone in particular.

Of all the members who post here, your posts are always so thoughtful, a little humor added and most of all, loaded with knowledge!

          Don't change a thing.

          Dennis

also. It is a great board. The posters here have straightened out my thinking
more than once and it is greatly appreciated.

                what did I miss?

Well I havn't visited this board since the end of tax season. I was just bored today and thought I would check to see if its still here. It looks like I missed something.
I have been having a great summer with visiting grand kids and all, but I guess I need to start thinking about next tax season soon.
                Regards to all.

                  Not much except..

Congress repealed the Income, Gift and Inheritance Tax and passed the 2006 Fair Tax Act.

Oh, nothin' much. We had a little internal, mud-slingin', mini-war goin' on here and Brad had to step in and stop it because things were kinda gettin' outta hand. But it's sort of quietened down now -- looks like we're *almost* over it and goin' along peaceably.

Re: "I was just bored...thought I would check..."; you sound like a date I had once -- said she'd go with me since "I don't have anything else to do." Anyway, nice to hear from you and that you had a good summer. I was just complainin' about mine a few days ago (didn't get to hit the hammock much) and it's been extra hot all summer. Still; no use moanin' 'n' groanin'' about the heat to desert folks (I've been through your neck of the woods and I just thought it was warm in Arkansas). What do y'all do for shade in Aridzona -- any trees thereabouts? Come by more often and we'll chat some.

                      Best Regards / BB

**Memo to Sea-tax and jainen: Why doncha come on back, fellers? We miss y'all and it's not like you shot somebody or anything. I once even threw a fit myself and used that L-word too. And, I've been called a less-than-intelligent C-word a time or two.

Come on home now, boys. All is forgiven (if you'll do the same). Y'all are too smart for us to lose -- who's gonna furnish strict, by-the-book, tax advice around here (me?) if you don't? jc - I know you're still alive an' poutin' about it 'cause I saw you sneakin' around over there at QF (look here: I sent off for Achebe's book and I'll PM you about it -- you can rant all you want to). Sea-tax - I know you're not lost up there in the redwoods or sunk in a kayak 'cause you have to show up ever' Friday and pay those 35 above-minimum-wage employees (come on in the house and talk -- it's slow as molasses around here and I'm in desperate need of a "hot tip" for my $500 Scottrade account).

To err is human; to forgive is divine. --- I forget exactly which verse, but Chief will know.

here all the time that I was preparin' that poignant plea? Why you...you...you...L-word. Take that! It's the worst thing I can think of to say without cussin' (note to Brad: that's not an insult where he hails from).

                          Second Bart's Request

Jainen and Sea-Tax you have been awfully quiet this week, miss your posts!

Bees had to deal with my LKE all by himself. I sure he would have welcomed your assistance!

To BB and ST thanks for the kind words . I however had not gone anywhere just been a little busy thats all.

I am sorry to the greater TTB if any posts of mine were less than appropriate. However I felt as though I had a right to defend the ugly names which some where calling me. Anyways hope there is no hard feelings.

Never hard feelings. Don't even know what exactly you said.(I know it's wrong English)

Appreciate your posts and posts of others (don't dare to call out names here, afraid to leave out some) but some of them are Bees, Jainen, Ron, Sandy, Old Jack, Black Bart. I like to watch "hard fights" but they need to be fair.

I especially notice the respect between Bees and Old Jack. They had some hard to watch fights some time ago. But never unfair.
