PSO deduction for Spouse now that Husband died?

    PSO deduction for Spouse now that Husband died?

    Taxpayer was a retired Police officer and we would take the PSO deduction. He passed away January 2018 and she is receiving his retirement so can we continue to take the PSO deduction or not?
    I am thinking probably not since he was the public safety officer. Any thoughts? Only info I can find is TTB 3-19.
