    Foreign Income

A taxpayer is going to live in 2019 6 months overseas, and not for military purposes. He doesn't qualify for the Bona Fide Residence Test or the Physical Presence Test, so he doesn't qualify for foreign income exclusion, correct?

Correct. All income would be taxable.

If he pays foreign taxes, they could be a deduction on his US returns.

Is there a tax treaty with the United States and the foreign country which might apply to the benefit of the taxpayer?
Friends double; family triple. Don't buy an audit for yourself. If someone has to go to jail make sure it is the client. Remember it is only taxes, nothing important.
