    Refunds will not be held during shutdown

    Per several news agencies, refunds will be issued even if shutdown is still going on.

    IRS actually announced the start date January 28, 2019 and promised refunds will be issued as scheduled. Filing deadline is April 15, 2019 except for taxpayers in Maine and MA, for them April 17, 2019.
    Taxes after all are the dues that we pay for the privileges of membership in an organized society. - FDR
