    New Bankruptcy Laws

    I have not seen the new B/R law yet.

    I have a client who hasn't filed sincer '99. He owes approx. 25,000 for '98 & '99. He is considering filing bankruptcy.

    Someone in the office said they thought the "full" chapter 7 was gone. They have to elect a type of Chapter 11.

    Does anyone have any info on the new laws?

    Out of curiosity I went to Google and typed in "new bankruptcy law." I got a wealth of information concerning the new law effective October 17, 2005 that would probably answer all your questions and then some.

      Next time I'll try to remember to "Google" it.

        New BK Laws

        I haven't gotten up to speed yet either on them, but all of sudden questions are coming! I understand it is not so easy now to "dismiss your spending habits".
